BASIC COSMETOLOGY - 1500 Clock Hours
Day Class - 40 Weeks (32 Hours per week.)
American Beauty Institute's educational goal is to provide a 1500 clock hour course of study that is designed to prepare you for licensure and gainful employment. We offer the course to those individuals who are interested in haircutting, hairstyling, hair coloring, permanent waving, and hair straightening/chemical relaxing. You will also receive instruction in manicure, makeup, cosmetic massage and other related services.
In addition to the theoretical (bookwork) portion of the course, you will find that the "hands-on" experience (working on the clinic doing your customers) is not only exciting but rewarding, in the sense that you will be doing what you love! The successful completion of the cosmetology course hours and requirements qualifies the student to graduate, receive a Certificate of Diploma and subsequently register for the Oklahoma State Board Exam. Upon passing the exam and paying the appropriate fee, you will have earned your license.
